The KSC Visitor Complex is a combo museum/tourist attraction.

These photos were taken during a visit in January 2011.

Of particular interest are the rocket park, Early Space Exploration museum, the art gallery, and a memorial to American astronaut lives lost.

And the gift shop.  Great gift shop.

As with JSC, the site strikes an uneven note, combining amazing history with schmaltzy outreach that is theoretically designed to hook the next generation.  The tours help greatly in rightening the balance.
